Research projects

1. Nonstationary vibration analysis, 2017-2023

École de technologie supérieure and Hydro-Québec, NSERC Discovery grant, $150k

A collaborative project with IREQ for the analysis and assessment of the dynamic behavior of the robot SCOMPI. The research included a modal analysis of the robot structure in non-stationary operation, a monitoring of vibration and modal parameters during the process, an evaluation of the links and joints’ flexibility, and the control of vibration.

2. Laser powder bed fusion of Ti-6-4 for aerospace components, 2024-

Royal Military College and Department of National Defence, $120k/year

Qualification, Predictability, and Certification of the laser powder bed fusion process for Ti-6-4 and aircraft components manufactured by LPBF.

3. Vibration and acoustic for non-destructive testing and structural integrity of honeycomb panels in aircraft structures. 2025-

Royal Military College and Department of National Defense, $85k/year

Using vibration and acoustic measurements on the material and structural behavior of the honeycomb panels for NDT assessment of the material damage and structural integrity in the aircraft.
